# Moderation

Here at Trident, we aim to provide a fair and unbiased community for all members, everyone is expected to conduct in a responsible and respectful manner towards others. However, when members break rules or act inappropriately, there are consequences that follow. Moderation is designed to keep our server a safe, fair and respectful environment for all members, within moderation, you have to expect to hand out punishments, punishments are designed to hold individuals accountable for their actions and help them learn from their mistakes.

# Moderation Steps

Whilst moderating individuals, you are expected to follow a structure somewhat like below:

• Verbal Warning
• Warning
• Mute
• Temporary Ban

If you encounter a member that has good intentions and may not have purposely violated rules/guidelines, you only need to administer a Verbal Warning. Whilst if you encounter a user purposely breaking rules, trying to get a react out of staff, hit them with a mute or temporary ban, depending on the rule violations. Please remember that not everyone purposely breaks rules.

# Blacklist

In the event that a user breaks our Terms of Service, please open a #issues post and post related information, such as the terms broken, the users information and proof of them breaking it. We will get back to you with whether or not we will proceed with limiting their access to Trident services.

This is the same for badges, if you would like any of the following pages added to a users profile, please open a #issues post:

• This user is not a Trident staff member
• This user is known to spread misinformation
• This user is involved with malicious activities

A Manager and/or Core Team member will investigate your request and get back to you.
